A TALE OF PETER RABBIT

TOURING SCHOOLS

MAY 31st  2020- 2nd July 2020

This is a brand new sixty minute musical adaptation written by celebrated scriptwriter, children’s author of
over 50 books, and beloved kids comedian Ian Billings, that celebrates the original author and her delightful
characters. Even though The Tales of Beatrix Potter are over a century old, their continued ability to draw
children into the imaginary world of Peter Rabbit and his friends still holds today.

We bring the story alive with our portrayal of lovable, and recognizable characters. Our very wholesome
bundle of joy, is neatly tied up with vibrant costumes, vivid colourful set, puppets, and a brand new musical
score by Richard Lamming that creates a comforting musical package that Beatrix Potter herself would have
been proud of. This is not a mascot show!

Following hot on the heels of the huge sell-out success of ‘An Inspector Calls’, and by popular demand, Lollipop is thrilled to announce that ‘Macbeth’ will be our next fantastic offering for secondary students.

Directed once again by multi award winner Patrick Sandford, this drama is one of the greatest tragedies of William Shakespeare. As in most Shakesperean tragedies ‘Macbeth’ is the story of a tragic hero whose desires bring about dismal self-destruction. It is the story of destructive ambition, corruptive power, the heinous actions that are taken, and the guilt that comes from committing them. In Patrick Sandford’s brilliant hands this production is a compelling and must see anatomy of evil , power and corruption.
